The Vodacom Awards for Digital Excellence (#VADE) were
launched earlier last month on 11th July 2012 as a long term initiative to
reward, support and develop local online media for outstanding work in the
digital space.
These awards were designed to be fair, transparent and most
importantly, non-discriminatory. The criteria and scoring system has been
clearly laid out and communicated in different media channels to make the
selection process as transparent as possible.
The first 10 fellows recognized,
were selected based on this stringent scoring criterion (listed below). Now
that the fellowship has taken foot, please stay tuned for announcement of the
next phase of #VADE, where we look to recognize more people for their exemplary
work in the digital space.
Until then,
we commend the online community for the handwork they have put in to make the
digital space reflect the vibrancy of Tanzania. Power to you.
